Penske Keisler Automation Suspension Package

Penske Keisler Automation Suspension Package

from $3,860.00

Your high performance turn-key suspension package has arrived!

This package starts as universal Penske 7500 or 8300 series shocks. Keisler Automation removes the universal eyelet ends and installs a proprietary mounting system dedicated to the Mazda RX8.

The end result is a turn-key suspension package which addresses the specific constraints of the RX8 such as the problematic low trunk mounting design-

1. OEM and many aftermarket suspension packages place the upper spring mount against the chassis in a fixed mounting design. As the suspension travels, the lower spring mount moves laterally while the upper mounting point is fixed. This creates an off-center loading path throughout the spring. With Keisler Automation’s package, the spring is fixed to the damper allowing a consistent and direct loading path throughout the suspension travel.

2. The low trunk mounting design yields rear wheel travel issues. Many suspensions packages use a separate ride height adjustment which occupies the critical distance between the chassis and spindle attachment. This design method leaves minimal distance for the spring which results in poor rear wheel travel. These distances range for 2.2” to 3.8”. Keisler Automation’s suspension package utilizes an inverted damper design with an extended upper cage mount. This results in a massive rear wheel travel of 6.7”. Proper wheel travel has been solved.

Why Penske?

Penske Racing Shocks is the world leader in suspension technology. Penske Racing Shocks strives to supply the latest technology to all forms of auto racing. We are major suppliers in the world’s largest markets. From asphalt road racing at its highest level in F1, NASCAR, or IndyCar, to the dirt tracks across the USA, Penske Racing Shocks is the industry leading manufacture. More champions choose Penske Racing Shocks over any other brand. Our engineering staff and industry leading technical support have lead us to numerous championships in all forms of motorsports.

We don’t only support professional race teams; we offer the same technology and technical support to grassroots racers. Our highly qualified staff is composed of racers themselves, who love going to the racetrack every weekend to help make all our customers have the best experience possible.

All applications are custom built to your specific needs. We take into consideration driving style, spring rate, vehicle weight, and type of tracks. This ensures you’re getting a custom shock specific to your application. Other manufacturers build all shocks the same, we know not all car set-ups, or drivers are the same, so why would the same shocks work for everyone? THEY DON’T! We can supply many different models of shocks for your needs. Models include adjustability levels ranging from Non-Adjustable, up to 4-way adjustable. We also can offer in-line, remote, or piggy back shocks. All shocks utilize standard Penske internals, so you can always utilize our latest technologies and stay current with your shocks. No need to purchase new shocks as new parts are debuted, simply update your current shocks.

It is our goal to give all racers the experience of a perfectly handling vehicle. Shocks do make a difference; this advantage is something all racers, competing at all levels, should experience.

How does ordering this package work?

1. Choose your spring selection.

Send us your desired spring rate selection or ask us for assistance. Keisler Automation has carefully selected spring rate packages based off of the chassis’s motion ratios and desired natural frequencies for specific environments.

Double duty track and street car with 200+tw tires- 600F 425R

Dedicated track car with 100tw or slick tires- 800F 550R

Big aero track car with slick tires- 1000F 700R

2. Choose your damper adjustability.

Penske offers Single Adjustable (7500SA), Double Adjustable (7500DA), and Double Adjustable Remotes (8300DA)

3. Choose your valving.

Penske has a wide array of piston selection. We recommend digressive pistons for most applications and regressive for utmost performance.

Linear - High Flow - Digressive- VDP linear - VDP - Decoupled - Regressive

4. Collaboration with Penske.

Keisler Automation sends the above information to our Penske Engineers- spring rates, shock series selection, piston selection, and subjected environment. Penske uses this information to build the damper set to your exact specification.

5. Assembly.

Once the dampers have arrived at Keisler Automation, we build your turn key package using our supplied RX8 specific mounting system and Hypercoil springs.

Note- Typical build time frame is 3-5 weeks from time of purchase.
